Ages ago, in a far away realm, there was a beautiful princess.

Her name was Crystalline and she had a pink dress.

The princess was young, kind, and loved by all.
She had many suitors in the royal ball.

The king was an honorable and loving man, he adored Crystalline.

A more loving father had never been seen.

The king's rivals however, were evil nobles with no honor.
They made sure the king was a goner.

The evil nobles all wanted the princess' hand,
so they could be king and rule the land.

But the princess thought this was very unfair,
so she up and vanished in thin air.

In her wake, only a crystal statue remained.

The crown no one attained.

One hundred and twenty three years went by, in gloom.
And a legend began to bloom.

It was said, one day, a brave knight would find the princess.
And he'd do it with finesse.

Her return would bring back peace and prosperity.

And do away with all the villainy.

The kingdom was ruled by vile tyrants, in rapid succession.

Leaving the people in severe depression.

With each passing day, the rich got richer and the poor got evicted.

If things could get worse, they did.

One day, a young treasure hunter came along, called Finn Brighteyes.
He told his friends, "We need to do what's right, guys!"

"I say we steal that statue, by golly! That'll teach those nobles," he said.
But his friends looked at him with overwhelming dread.

"Are you crazy? How the heck do you expect we do that, Finn?" they asked him.
"With MAGIK!" he replied, "It's an acronym."

He explained it to them, "It stands for My Amazingly Good Inside Knowledge."
He had worked in the castle, so on this bet he would hedge.

And so, Finn came up with a plan and they snuck into the castle at night,

seeking to snatch the statue without a fight.

However, when they found the statue in the courtyard, it began to glow.
Finn was bewildered, but he handled it like a pro.

He kept his cool, as the statue beamed with magic and the crystal melted away,

revealing the princess inside, alive and okay.

It became quite clear to Finn that she had been inside that statue all along.

She had magical powers and they were quite strong.

With guards approaching, Finn had to come up with a plan B and quick,

If he didn't, his ass they would most certainly kick.

Finn and Princess Crystalline escaped the castle unharmed and unseen.

Finn's hide out was in the woods, next to a ravine.

Once they were finally safe, Crystalline asked Finn, "What year is it?"

When he told her, she had a terrible fit.

Everyone she knew was long gone and her kingdom was a total mess.
That was something she would have to address.

The princess revealed that she had frozen herself with her own powers.

But she figured she'd be freed within a few hours.

All she needed was someone with honest eyes to look upon her and she'd be free.

As it turned out, it took much, much longer, you see.

With Finn's help, the princess made a brave journey, kingdom-wide,

looking for allies to take her side.

Rumors of her return spread and people came from around the kingdom to join her.

And so, a revolution slowly began to stir.

When Crystalline returned to the castle, she had a loyal army under her command.

She went to the castle, with Finn, and they made a stand.

The kingdom's new regent refused the princess, he was as evil as his predecessors.

He ordered his guards to arrest his aggressors.

A battle ensued in the throne room, between the rebels and the guards.

But for the princess, defeat was not in the cards.

She fought bravely, with Finn at her side, and defeated the regent once and for all.

Over the regent's cowering figure, she stood tall.

Crystalline was crowned queen and she restored her kingdom to it's former glory.

But this was not yet the end of her story.

As she stood there, crown upon head, her love for Finn she did confess.

And so, their marriage, the priest did bless.

They lived quite happily ever after that day and their rule lasted many peaceful years.

The kingdom was once again filled with cheers.

And even long after their time, they were celebrated far and wide,

for the happiness of the people was never again put aside.

In eons past, when lands shared light

Gods clashed in War’s flame

Sishu raised her banner of might

For Magus had left her in shame

Sichu cried for her banished son

Armagon, cast from divine gate

He wed Zandira, her heart he won

And with ring, sealed her fate

Mortals rose from those once fair

From life, they began to depart

Unicorns shaped silver and rare

Dragons forged from fire and art

Dragons and unicorns clashed in gore

Flame met mane and light met scale

And once settled the eternal war

Hatred endured under dark vale

Ages later came Beuljan, a prince

His breath, sunrise, his skin, steel

He was taught no mercy, no mince

Peace was a myth he’d never feel

In meadows rose Listella, a princess

Walking with grace and command

She learned dragons were born of duress

That their rage she wouldn’t withstand

Yet when paths crossed, spite ceased

Moon and sun played no games

In forbidden love they were released

Enemies united by sharing names

Young hearts, old hatreds left behind

And peace replaced rivalries of yore

In death, Beuljan and Listella shined

dragons and unicorns fought nevermore

As a mortal, Satoron was a powerful deathsinger from an aristocratic empire, ruled by powerful wizards. Even in his youth, he was arrogant and ambitous. As a full fledged magic user, his thirst for power grew to such extent that is caused a civil war between the empire and his growing number of followers.

In the final battle, his servant adepts enacted a ritual in which Satoron absorbed the lifeforce of all his followers, making him powerful enough to thwart his enemy's attack. In one massive explosion, the empire fell and Satoron became so full of vital energy that he ascended, becoming a Deuno, a Lesser God.

After that fateful battle, he disapeared, never to be seen again. Some said he still lived, residing somewhere dark and desolate. Tales of a cursed citadel arose, with armies of undead and corrupted mortal servants. He had once sworn to conquer the realms and create his empire under a rule of terror and many feared he would one day return to fulfill his dark oath.

Ages ago, in a far away realm, there was a bright young pupil of a old mage.

Her name was Kali-Baleen and she had just come of age.

The old mage was very proud of her and loved her as if she were his daughter.

Every morning, before work, magic he taught her.

She was a sharp student, quite the fast learner and a promising apprentice.

Though at times, she could be a quite pretentious.

Still, the old mage smiled and continued instructing her with pleasure,

For her thrust for knowledge had no measure.

There was only one thing that Kali was strictly prohibited from doing.

The old mage's book of spells, she was kept from viewing.

How she wished she could open that book to see what secrets lay inside.

She swore never to do it... but she lied.

One night, when the old mage was away on business, she pretended to sleep,

but she got up, instead of counting sheep.

Kali found the book, in a locked chest, in the old mage's study.

She managed to open it, though it was sturdy.

Finally, the book of spells was in her hands and she would uncover it's mysteries.

She opened the book and began her inquiries.

By morning, upon the old mage's return, she had already read most of the book.

But the power was to great and Kali was shook.

The old mage looked for and found her at his desk, in a state of utter shock.

Her hair was a mess and she was missing a sock.

He quickly brewed her a potion, to see if he could save her from insanity,

and gave it to her in a cuppa' tea.

After a handful of long days, she eventually recovered from the terrible trauma.

When she was finally well, the old mage began the drama.

He scolded her, telling her he would have been heartbroken had she died,

and that her apprenticeship would have to be denied.

The book didn't merely grant her great knowledge, but great power as well.

If Kali were to absorb any more, her brain would swell.

She could very well lose control of her new power and become a terrible villain.

The idea of that was definitely chillin'.

With a heavy heart, the old mage banished Kali from his castle and his tutorship.

So, she went to the port and got on a ship.

She shed many tears, as she looked back at the life she was leaving behind.

Her kind master would always be in her heart and her mind.

Kali had many adventures thereafter, she made many friends and some enemies too.

And there are those who think she has a lose screw.

Wherever she was most unwelcome was where she would head next.

Yes, is was as if she were hexed.

In taverns across the land, many a bard sung of Kali-Baleen and her travels.

With each passing year, her legend further unravels.

Tales arose of her dancing with the fates, dealing with devils and fooling death itself.

True or not, many drunks toasted her health.

It is said that she eventually became a master herself, with pupils and all.

The irony of that is not small.

Of course, one has to wonder, if she had a book of spells as well

and if to temptations her apprentices also fell.

Song Lyrics

[Intro]

[Verse 1]

Once upon a time, a young pupil wanted to become a mage.

Her name was Kali-Baleen and she had just come of age.

Her master, the wise old mage, loved her like a daughter.

Every day, before work, magic he taught her.

[Verse 2]

She was a sharp student and a promising apprentice.

Though at times, she could be quite pretentious.

Still, the old master smiled and instructed her with pleasure,

For her thirst for knowledge, it seemed, had no measure.

[Chorus]

Kali-Baleen, the rogue mage,

Her tale has many a page.

La-yah-la!

La-yah-lee!

Her name echoes through the age,

Despite the Gods’ outrage.

La-yah-la!

La-yah-luuu-uuu-uuu!

[Verse 3]

There was only one thing the mage forbid her from doing.

His great book of spells, she was kept from viewing.

She wished she could see what secrets lay inside.

She swore never to open it, but she lied.

[Verse 4]

When the old mage was away, Kali went to her master’s study.

She managed to get into it though the lock was sturdy.

Upon her master’s return, she had read most of the book.

But the power was too great and Kali was shook.

[Chorus]

Kali-Baleen, the rogue mage,

Her tale has many a page.

La-yah-la!

La-yah-lee!

Her name echoes through the age,

Despite the Gods’ outrage.

La-yah-la!

La-yah-luuu!

[Verse 5]

He quickly brew her a potion to save her from insanity.

Though he still loved her, he cursed her audacity.

After a few long days, she recovered from the trauma.

When she was finally well, the old mage began the drama.

[Verse 6]

He scolded her, yelling that she could have died.

Of her apprenticeship, she would have to be denied.

The book granted great knowledge, but also great power.

If Kali learned any more, her mind wouldn’t last an hour.

[Chorus]

Kali-Baleen, the rogue mage,

Her tale has many a page.

La-yah-la!

La-yah-lee!

Her name echoes through the age,

Despite the Gods’ outrage.

La-yah-la!

La-yah-luuu-uuu-uuu!

[Verse 7]

And so, with a heavy heart, the old mage banished Kali.

At the port, she got on a ship, lamenting her folly.

Kali had many adventures thereafter, bards sing of her travels.

With each passing year, her legend further unravels.

[Verse 8]

It is said she became a master herself, with pupils and all.

The irony of that is by no means small.

Of course, one has to wonder if she had a book of spells as well.

And if to temptations her apprentices also fell.

[Celtic Flute]

[Chorus]

Kali-Baleen, the rogue mage,

Her tale has many a page.

La-yah-la!

La-yah-lee-ee!

Her name echoes through the age,

Despite the Gods’ outrage.

La-yah-la!

La-yah-luuu!

[Interlude]

La-yah-la!

La-yah-lee!

La-yah-la!

La-yah-luuu-uuu-uuu!

La-yah-laaa!

La-yah-lee!

La-yah-laaa!

La-yah-luuu-uuu-uuu!

La-yah-laaa!

La-yah-lee!

La-yah-laaa!

La-yah-luuu-uuu-uuu!

[Chorus]

Kali-Baleen, the rogue mage,

Her tale has many a page.

La-yah-la!

La-yah-lee-ee!

Her name echoes through the age,

Despite the Gods’ outrage.

La-yah-laaa!

La-yah-luuu-uuu-uuu!

[End]
